Philodendron 'Lickety Split'

Philodendron 'Lickety Split' is a tropical evergreen plant known for its unique, deeply split, glossy green leaves that add texture and visual interest to any space. Its compact, upright growth habit and vibrant foliage make it an excellent choice for indoor decoration or as a feature in partly shaded garden beds. Growing to a height of 0.9–1.2 meters, 'Lickety Split' is perfect for creating a bold statement in containers, patios, or tropical landscapes.

Position

'Lickety Split' thrives in bright, indirect light but tolerates partial shade, making it ideal for indoor environments. Outdoors, it prefers a shaded or semi-shaded location protected from direct sunlight. It grows best in well-drained, fertile soil and enjoys warm, humid conditions. Sensitive to frost, it is suitable for tropical and subtropical climates or as an indoor plant in cooler regions.

Growth

This moderately fast-growing plant reaches a mature height of 0.9–1.2 meters with a similar spread, forming a dense, upright habit. Its deeply lobed leaves with a glossy finish make it a stunning focal point for indoor settings or as part of a tropical garden.

Planting Guide

Philodendron 'Lickety Split' grows best in well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. For indoor planting, use a high-quality tropical potting mix and place the plant in a bright, indirect light location. Outdoors, plant in a shaded area with moist, well-drained soil. Water thoroughly after planting, and apply mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds.

Plant Care

Water regularly, allowing the topsoil to dry slightly between waterings to avoid overwatering. Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every 4–6 weeks during the growing season to encourage healthy growth and vibrant foliage. Clean leaves periodically to maintain their glossy appearance and remove dust. Prune as needed to remove yellowing or damaged leaves and maintain a tidy form.

Stopped working within 3 days
Color: Blue
Worked for 3 plays. My 11 week old puppy loved this item. Unfortunately, it only lasted 3 tries before the motor stopped working. $30 for a total of 30 minutes over 3 days is robbery! I'd look at another vendor for the same type of item. We charged it after each attempt but now the motor won't turn on.

Used it one day and partially the following day. Put on charger. Never worked again. My dog played with it but returned it as defective.

Not for super chewers
Color: Blue
This ball seems to be of good quality; has held a charge well and is easy to use. Sadly, the cover lasted less than 15 minutes with our dog.... not for aggressive chewers for sure. Pretty funny to watch the hound dog jowls shake though.

Great fun for dogs!
Color: Orange
Two of our dogs really love this! It caused a lot of barking and chasing and running around trying to grab it. It's really funny to use the remote to control it (and especially make it stop when things get a little too chaotic!) It feels durable even when pawed and bumped into and stepped on. The battery life seems good. I plugged it in overnight to charge so not sure how long it took to charge, but it has lasted quite a while with the dogs playing with it and still doesn't need a charge. It's easy to screw off one side of the ball to plug it in to charge. The size is a little bigger than a tennis ball I would say and has a soft texture.

It doesn't work.
Color: Blue
The two halves of the ball shell come apart again and again when the dog plays with them. When it is time to recharge the core, it will not take a charge. The dog loves it, but it's unsafe to play with.
